The Customer
One of the largest producers of sweets from South America needed a proven process that could efficiently heat its liquid candy to be used in freezing. As demand for high-quality products increased, there was a necessity for accurate heating and hygienic production.
The Project
INOXPA developed and supplied innovative automatic HTST pasteurization equipment to guarantee effective heating processes of the liquid candy in a controlled manner. The process is essential before manufacturing products like lollipops and frozen candies.
The equipment is also capable of integrating easily into other downstream equipment, such as automatic conveyors.
Installation Highlights
This is made up of three HTST pasteurizers that have been designed to effectively manage the process from regeneration, through heating, holding to final cooling.
Each of the skids will include:
- Automatic control valves that can be used for heating and cooling
- A continuous level sensor in the balance tank (BTD)
- Flow meters for accurate product flow regulation
In order to keep the plant’s operations running smoothly, the system will be equipped with conveyor systems that will contribute to the smooth production process flow.
The control of the process, as well as its monitoring, will be provided by:
- A PLC-based control system
- A 10-inch touchscreen interface for easy operation
- A three-channel video recorder for tracking and validation
Moreover, the liquid candy after processing can be diverted into packaging lines that include an automatic liquid filler machine.
The Outcome
This solution by INOXPA led to effective heat processing and enhanced control over the manufacturing process, ensuring that each batch is processed with precision and consistency.
The installation of the automatic liquid filling machine played an important role in improving the rate and accuracy of the process and decreased manual handling. All these factors resulted in the improved performance of the entire process.
